I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum but I am at a loss. Recently my computer was infecting with some type of virus. The first problem that occurred was that I lost access to task manager. I also received a ton a pop up surveys, etc. The computer was still able to be used, until this morning. Now when my computer is turned on, it appears to load normally; however, it flashes my desktop but with no icons, no start menu, nothing...and then it immediately logs off to the welcome screen. The only option is to log on as the Administrator but again it does the exact same thing and brings me back to the welcome screen. The welcome screen is the only screen that appears for longer than a couple seconds.

My fear is that I am unable to get all of my pictures/files off the hard drive. Please let me know if anyone has any idea how to fix this problem...even temporarily so I can get my important files off. Thank you!
