This tutorial will show you how to open a folder as a new process in Windows 7.
Open Folder Options, >> Go to the View tab.
To Enable this >> Check Launch folder windows in a separate process box.
Click OK
Your folders will now always open in a new process.

To Disable this, Uncheck the Launch folder windows in a separate process box.
If you want to open a folder in a new process only once;
Right click on a folder which you want to open as a new process >> Select Open in New Process as shown below.
The folder you selected will now be opened as a new process.
