Alright i´m another one with that irritating problem. Ive tried all the methods i know how to use from similar topics but now i´m out of ideas so i was hoping for some new approaches to the problem.
It started totally out of the blue. I was on a page iv´e been visiting every day for the past two years. My current laptop is a replacement for my original one so this one doesnt have any virus protection or anything like that to block the access. I can see that im connected from CMD but neither of the browsers work.
I can access wireless but not a cable connection which i use the most.
I know it´s not a connection problem since i live in a dorm and every other computer works just fine. Tried different cables, went to other rooms to try other plugs and nothing
I have already tried turning off the windows firewall, tampering with connections, resetting winsock entries and IP stack from CMD and ive also tried the winsock fix.
Ive also tried installing new browsers.
I could consider formatting the laptop but i´d need to be sure that it cures the problem. It´s not my laptop and the guys at the computer store will format it anyway once i return it to them.
Edit: Had a brainstorm...doubt its a good one but still
Would installing sp3 do me any good?
Ive noticed that a HijackThis scan may give some people some ideas as to what is wrong so i did the scan and the results are....
I truly hope someone can help me with this. Its getting rather annoying because all that replacement computer is supposed to do is access internet and now it doesn´t even do that.
