I play starcraft alot, and normally no one has my favorite game to play. But I can't host, because my network is a piece of doodoo. Anyways, how do I port forward to starcraft, in order that I might be able to play my favorite game/host a game?

I Have two. One's a dsl, and the other is a wireless. Um, as for the model, I can look it up.

To setup port forwarding on most routers your host needs to have a static ip address.

Thanks! That helped a bit, anyother suggestions/tips?

If you are running 2 routers things will be a little harder.

If, as i suspect, you have a modem which then plugs into a wireless router, follow the instructions at portforward for setting up a Static IP Address. Then have a look here and select your router from the list, this will show you have to set up Port Forwarding.

I did that. But my router website is setup differently, and I don't know whether to set mine to TCP or UCP Any suggestions?

That would be TCP/iP or UDP!

This is dependent on which ports you are forwarding and for what reason!

For starcraft, Allow port 6112 TCP and UDP out and in!

"Established sessions in" applies to firewalls only.

NAT will allow the "established sessions in" automatically.

NAT users will need to map any "in"s (hosting games only) to the IP of the computer hosting the game.

Some firewall programs have preset ports available in their configurations that are often necessary to be open.

One in particular is a connection to your DNS server. This usually takes place on UDP port 53.

I can only make the port 6112 TCP or UDP not both at the same time. What to I do to fix tha?

Portforward them both, but separate rules

e.g Do one of TCP and then another for UDP.
