Start Button Frooze can't get to Programs!

My Start button is frozen and it will not allow me to do anything not even go to programs.
I can open my file folder but the print is so small I can't read anything. The task bar stays
up and I have no problem getting online and surfing. The only way I can turn the computer
off is by the power button. I should only be running Firefox and for some reason I think it
also think it has installed Chrome. Plz help this is my Brothers computer and going to really
be mad at me!

Hi tricia. Try starting the computer in Safe Mode and see what happens. Safe Mode is usually achieved by tapping F8 while the computer is booting on most operating systems.
