i can not do this because i can not save anything to desktop because if i do i can not see them. what do i do next?

Are you able to boot into Safe mode?

Desktop icons, taskbar, everything but wallpaper gone. Can I do anything to fix?
Desktop icons and taskbar along bottom missing?
