Internet slow and cant download files.

My internet has become very slow recently..
Now downloads do not work, on both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
They start to download, get around 0.1mb downloaded then it says it is completed

Can someone help me? Do you think i have any spy-ware or anything on my pc??

I use Eset Security
Zone Alarm Pro
Malwarebytes anti-malware

They all come with nothing...

Slow internet speeds may not be caused by malware. What type of connection do you have?

It is adsl broadband.
It has been working fine since May 2005 but since this May has been very slow, and i cannot download files..
Plus.net say there is no issues at their end.

Then it must be the site you are trying to download from.

Hi, this happens with EVERY site, it just seems to say it is completed even if it has only downloaded 1mb of it, and its a 20mb file..

I did try this...

Go to c:/documents and settings/user/local settings / temp

right click the temp folder and uncheck read only.


Go to control panel, internet options
Under browsing history press delete, then ok

which helped it for 5 mins then once rebooted, it started again, i have tried it, and that method does not work now..
