General meltdown; Internet Explorer?

Hi. I've been having all sorts of problems last few days...two or three blue screeens of death, many many unresponsive program stops, general slowness. Given the pervasive nature of it (and no recent hardware or
software additions), I am wondering if it is Internet Explorer (one of the error reports suggested an IE update,
but I wonder if that won't just compound the problem). Any suggestions? I realize this is not a technically
interesting problem. This is not high in the CSI tech world, but my world is rocked. Everything I do quickly freezes
and becomes "unresponsive." Please help!!!
