Here is my HijackThis log from today. I am running Norton corp edition and it doesn't detect anything. Malwarebyte did at first, fixed those errors and then nothing more. Yesterday, I tried to get into my online banking and the website asked for all my info (which I did NOT enter). I found I had an infected master boot record and fixed that through Windows recovery console on the installation CD. I also found I have koobface worm and tibs trojan through spyware doctor, which I followed online instructions to fix. I'm not sure they are gone.

Once I clicked on "remove all selected", I got an error that my display driver was not working (monitor went crazy), and the fake antivirus popup appeared. I did get the message from malwarebytes to restart my PC. Once I restarted, I ran it again just to be sure the files were properly deleted and no more infections were found.

Here is the log file:

We can remove OTMoveIt now.

  • Please double-click OTM.exe to run it again.
  • Press the green CleanUp! button.
  • Press Yes cleanup process prompt, do the same for the reboot prompt.
How is the machine running now?

Everything seems to be running well!! Thank you SO much! One question though. I've had these issues with Norton not catching viruses before. I've stopped using Norton on all of my other computers except this one. The free version of AVG has seemed to catch everything on my other 2 computers. Do you recommend me installing AVG on this PC and stop using Norton?

Also, what is a fair donation amount for the help you've given me? I can't do much, but is $25 fair?

Thanks again for all your help!

I prefer Avira, AVG is known for many problems, but your choice.

Whatever spare change you can give helps, it all goes to a good cause.
