motherboard problem

hello, when boot my pc there is fdc failure msg on the screen and also display press f1 to resume.when i press f1 key machine is started but mouse and keyboard will not work.if i press reset button display nothing but monitor light is blinking.
my pc confg-
mobo(845 intel chipset),ram(dual channel-128mb*256mb),40gb hdd.thank you for reading this question.please reply soon.

You can try to fix this problem by removing the motherboard's battery for about 15 minutes and placing it back, this will reset the CMOS.
