Motherboard test?

Hi,
I have a dell 4550 that give the "primary drive 0 not found"
removed bios batt
unpluged all ide conn
all the normal stuff to eliminate factors.
loaded Hiren's boot but dont see a good mb diagnostic.
Ideas anyone?

Hi, go to BIOS and reset your settings to DEFAULT. Restart your computer and try to boot it again. If you still have same problem, go to BIOS and find Primary Master and Primary Slave.
Put HDD as Master and CDROM as Slave -> F10 -> Save -> Restart computer.

Remove the jumper setting pin and leave it open then go into bios and see if hdd is recongnized
