File protection program

Hi all this is my first post , Found the site today 13/09/09 Love the site ...

Im looking for a program to which I place pics and files that only i can open and program which has no back doors by government orgs or the manufacturer ... Oh and my intentions arnt porn related if you must know ...
My reasons are of the green kind ...

Governments and manufacturers have no rights to access your computer. So you can keep the files anywhere you like on your computer.

maybe where you come from thats true but here if they want they can take anything they like ... Australia

If that's the case. It's up to you on how you want to hide your files manually (perhaps hide your hard drive?). If they really want to get the files, there's nothing much you can do. Those people involved in this are usually forensic experts. If you are concerned about theft, then you can perform a hard drive encryption if you have BitLocker on your Vista.
