UK iPhone users were left without any data access for several hours over the weekend, according to various user and news reports - and now admitted by exclusive iPhone carrier O2.

According to The Register O2 confirmed the data outages over the weekend, stating that it "lasted for around two hours on Saturday".

O2's own forums and reports from Register readers and PC Advisor journalists indicate a much longer downtime. Indeed, as seen on the iPhone screens below, the data outages continued through Wednesday morning.

O2 experienced several data service interruptions during July and August, leaving customers without mobile broadband connections, email, and in some cases even without text services.
