Well I was able to run malwarebytes now and it picked up 19 infected objects. I still have a problem, I am unable to connect to the internet. Somewhere during this process something happened, I have mcafee wireless security and it says that it is disconnected. I dont know how to connect it back. I used to have mcafee virus scan as well and awhile back I tried to unisntall it and everytime I do I get this message " The installation cannot continue because some components are missing c:/progra`1mcafee.com/agent/uninst/comrem.dll) are missing. So I cant uninstall mcafee security suite ( this was for my wireless network) to remove it and start over. Any suggestions? I beleive the original problem is gone.

Using McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool
· Double click the MCPR.exe
· A Command Line window will be displayed, and then close automatically.
· Wait for a second Command Line window to be displayed. Note: Do not double-click MCPR.exe again, you may have to wait up to 1 minute for the next window to appear.
· After the second window appears, the program will begin the cleanup.
· Observe the installation, which could take several minutes. The following message will be displayed in the Command Line window: The machine must reboot to complete the un-installation. Reboot now? [y.n]
· Press Y on the keyboard.
· Wait for the computer to restart.
· All McAfee products are now removed from your computer.

That did not work, after it ran it locked up about 3/4's of a way thru it. It stayed on something called " removing mwl " , it stayed there for a a half hour. So I closed the window and rebooted. Now when I try and run it again I get two messages. One says clean up failed, the other says clean uip is allready running. What next?

Please download Revo Uninstall from here: Revo Uinstaller

1. Download and run the setup file for Revo Uninstaller.
   
2. Once setup, run Revo Uninstaller.
   
3. Select the following item for removal by clicking on it once.
   
   Mcafee Security Suite
   
   
4. Then hit the "Uninstall" button at the top.
   
5. Close Revo Uninstaller.
   

I must be cursed or something, I installed the revo uninstaller. But the icons for Mcafee wireless network does not show up, nor do any of the mcafee programs accept for the mcafee uninstaller. So that was the only thing it unistalled. How do I get mcafee home wireless network security to show up in the revo uninstaller? I tried to reinstall that program but it said that I had to unistall the previoius version before I could install the new one.

We'll have to remove Mcafee manually with ComboFix:

• Download combofix from here

• We need to disable your local AV (Anti-virus) before running Combofix.
  
• See HERE for how to disable your AV.
  
• Double click on ComboFix.exe.
  
• Follow the prompts. NOTE:
  
• ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed.
  ***It's strongly recommended to have the Recovery Console installed before doing any malware removal.***
  
  **Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will automatically proceed with its scan.
  
  
  
• The Recovery Console provides a recovery/repair mode should a problem occur during a Combofix run.
  
  
  
  
• Allow ComboFix to download the Recovery Console.
  
• Accept the End-User License Agreement.
  
• The Recovery Console will be installed.
  
• You will then get this next prompt that asks if you want to continue the malware scan, select yes
  
  
  
  
• Allow combofix to run
  
• Post C:\combofix.txt back here.
  
  Note:
  Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Below I have included a number of recommendations for how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections. Please take these recommendations seriously; these few simple steps can stave off the vast majority of spyware problems. As happy as we are to help you, for your sake we would rather not have repeat customers.

1) Please navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer.

Please either enable Automatic Updates under Start -> Control Panel -> Automatic Updates , or get into the habit of checking for Windows updates regularly. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

Ad-Aware SE

Spybot-Search & Destroy
A tutorial on using Spybot to remove spyware from your computer may be found here. Please also remember to enable Spybot's "Immunize" and "TeaTimer" features.

SpywareBlaster

SpywareGuard
A tutorial on using SpywareGuard for realtime protection against spyware and hijackers may be found here.

Make sure to keep these programs up-to-date and to run them regularly, as this can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

3) Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. If you are interested, Firefox may be downloaded from here:

I also recommand the following add-ons for Firefox, they will help keep you safe from malicious scripts or activeX exploits.
