Well I have this problem. Earlier today my speakers were working perfectly until at evening, it suddenly went silent well sometimes it has sound while sometimes it doesn't (I mean like have sound then no sound after a while, have sound then quickly no sound and the patterns continues.) How do I get my speakers back to normal?

Hello,

Go to Start >> Control Panel >> System and Maintenance >> System >> Device Manager >> select Sound, video and game controllers >> right click >> uninstall the audio drive and install this:

well I did what u ask but there wasn't any audio drive instead there was

audio codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video capture devices
media control devices
realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA(R)Audio Controller
USB Audio Devices
Video Codecs
