newly formatted pc wont boot normally

got a newly formatted pc, havent installed anything yet, just pure Win XP OS. the prob is, it wont boot normally, the windows logo do come out, then the pc turns off. but it do start in safe mode??

Did you install it properly? Most of the time, people would install it over the current OS they are running causing many other problems later on. To boot into safe mode keep tapping F8 at startup.

but i did format the hard disk and make new partitions, i think i'll try to use the on-board ports to check if its the pci or agp that's giving me problem. :hmm:

I faced the same problem and Installed XP Again, and it works perfectly fine..
