CD/DVD drive keeps having errors, ruining disks!

I've about had it with my new computer's CD/DVD drive. When I first got the computer, I tried making recovery disks, but the process would fail when it was almost finished, and spit the disk out. I tried this a couple of times and kept getting the same problem. Eventually I called HP and they told me to use the built-in Recovery Partition that came with my computer, but they had me burn a file onto a cd to see if my drive worked. Here's the thing: it works fine with small files, but when I try to burn large amounts of data onto a cd/dvd, the session always spits out the cd. I tried backing up a large disk using DVD Shrink and it got all the way to about 70% left and then I could hear the DVD drive clicking. Then the burn log said there was an error and it tried again but eventually gave up and spit out the disk. That makes at least the 4th or 5th disk this thing has ruined! I'm about ready to take it back since I bought a warranty.

But if anyone can decipher this, DVD Shrink gave me this information along with the error. If anyone can figure out what the problem is without me having to take it back to be worked on, I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance. If I remember correctly, when you burn a recovery CD, shouldn't Windows use a built in tool or something? Why are you using DVD Shrink?

Well I'm using DVD Shrink to burn some ISO files, but the drive kicked off first during the Recovery Disk Manager program that comes with HP computers, so that's when I first noticed it. And then a while later, I wanted to test out the drive and burn some big files onto a DVD, but it had an error while trying to use the Cyberlink DVD program that came with the computer. I did research on that one and found that it was just a lowsy program. So I read that DVD Shrink was a good program for burning ISO files, but since it failed too, I have to wonder that it's not any of these programs but it's actually my CD/DVD drive.

I resolved this issue elsewhere, so you may close it if you need to.
