Win XP Themes

If i use themes not made by microsoft will it cause my pc to crash?

Also, changing my booth screen?

I don't remember Microsoft making any themes except for the ones in Windows itself.

using ones made by people...

I should say it would be slower. Don't think it would cause crashing though.

Though once i installed a boot screen wrong and i could not turn my pc on.

There are many cases where the files created cause conflict with other softwares. What theme do you plan to install?

I am using Windows XP with SP 2 with a Windows Vista Theme. It looks exactly like Windows Vista and I've had it for quite a while. My computer runs really fast and there are no interfering applications with different themes.

like a yr back i changed my boot screen, welcome screen, theme and my pc just crashed!

It had slowed down my PC and gave some errors too!!!!

so i dont think i'll customise 2 much now

Simple XP is the best at the end!!!!

i use tuneup utilities to change my themes, it also helps me in adjusting stuffs like icon size. i'm currently using xp with vista themes, too.
