How To Turn Off Feedback Frequency Option in Windows 10 April 2018 Update Bfly4YA

Microsoft may have released its Windows 10 April 2018 Update, and rammed full of new additions and feature improvements, but it hasn’t exactly been rolled out into the global community without issue. One issue that some people have noticed is that the "Feedback frequency" setting cannot be changed.

Users are complaining that the setting has a new label reading "Windows Insider Program manages this option" -- regardless of whether the computer has been part of the Insider program or not. An update is available to address the problem, but it has to be installed manually.

If you've been bothered by this issue, use the follows steps to rectify things:

1. Download the required cumulative update from Microsoft.

2. Open the Command Prompt by typing cmd.exe into Start Menu, right-click on cmd.exe, and open it as an administrator.

3. Type the following command:

Code:

dism /online /add-package /packagepath:%userprofile%\downloads\Windows10.0-KB4135051-x64_22fd6a942c7b686a5434bcc8dfc87f3379c99437.cab

4. Hit Enter key and wait while the update is processed.

You might find that the update takes a while to install, but once this is complete you should find that the problem is fixed when you restart Windows.
