So a few weeks ago i bought a HDMI cable and connected it to my DVI and connected it to my video card and ran it to my TV. It was working great. This was on windows 8.

However, last week i changed back to windows xp and the same set up is not working.

What can be the problem?

Windows XP likely does not support HD video transfer. I am not sure the best way to explain this, but just know that XP is very outdated and honestly should not be used anymore. Windows 7 is even considered "too old" but at least that will support more current video/audio options.
