Hi I put my computer back to factory mode, after all of this, The system came back on in French, it would not let me change language settings and I tried every thing,my friend who said he had knowledge said he would give it a try, he ended up not being able to fix lang,so he downloaded ultimate trial version,it was an HP notebook home premium, is there anyway to fix and get back my old version in English, bought at best buy and it was installed, never got a disk, and it was programmed in English.. I have no real knowledge on computers, have difficulty doing anything with this ultimate, I want my home back.. Stupid decision on my part, but to late, any suggestions would be appreciated.. Thanks, Surfandsand

Hi surfandsand,
My first thoughts on this lead me to suggest that you attempt to re-run the factory reset.. Most HP machines come with a recovery partition which is used to reset to Factory settings hence there are no discs supplied..

There are links posted here if you need instructions.. Just pick your version of Windows and follow the instruction given..
Let us know how you get on.

EDIT: I've moved this thread to a more suitable forum to, hopefully, speed up a resolution to this for you...

Driver_ian, i am afraid to do it again, when i did it last week it did go back to factory mode, but it was in french, and i could not in anyway change it to english, that is why my friend downloaded ultimate, because even he could not change the language thru all procedures, etc, etc, only way he could get english back was thru ultimate...But i will look into it, but doing it again, and unsure of the language it will go back to, is not a chance i want to take..Or should i chance it, if so i will most probably need to take it in, and no budget for that at this time...

My fear for you now is that you may have a pirated or patched copy of Windows installed which will cause you problems in the future..
