Computer overheats and shuts down OS Windows 7

Hey all,

Let me begin by saying that I am not computer savy at all, a friend, who helped me temporarily fix the problem sent me here.

My HP computer has been overheats and shuts down constantly and the fan is always running. Friend had me share my screen and walked me through the process of deleting about 20-something processes that were running on task manager.

He also explained to me the CPU Usage % was very high. When nothing was running it would coast at a comfy 18-30% but would spike every few minutes to a 50-80% usage and shut down my system.

We ended all processes associated with the HP CPU assassin and it [/u][/b][b]HAS[u][i] lowered the coasting percentage to about 10-25% however, I am still getting big spikes of 45-60% every few minutes and, though it is shutting down less frequently, it is still shutting down.


Please Help. I use a lot research sites and downloads for my job and can not have my comp being so wonky.

• Save aswMBR.exe to your Desktop
  
• Double click aswMBR.exe to run it
  
• Click the Scan button to start the scan as illustrated below
  

Note: Do not take action against any **Rootkit** entries until I have reviewed the log. Often there are false positives
