BSOD but cannot boot safe mode - Dr. Web Live CD does not work

Received the Blue Screen with error. Tried rebooting in safe mode, last known configuration. Nothing worked. Downloaded Dr. Web LiveCd.iso and scanned but at a certain point, the laptop shut down and said it overheated. Tried again this morning, at a certain point shut down again. The program did find some suspicious and infected items, but do not know how to "cure" them if it shuts down. Not sure where to start or end. Any help is of course very appreciated.

Thanks for your quick response. I had read the OTL post but did not know how it would work if I cannot get into my computer. I can put in Hiren's or Dr. Web iso cd but get nowhere. I cannot download anything onto the computer I can only try to boot from a cd and unfortunately do not have a recovery disk. After this, I need to make it a point to make one. I miss the days when they actually gave you a cd when you purchased the computer. not sure where to go from here...

That's okay. Post in the malware section and post the same thing you did here, this will give the tech a heads up on the situation.
