I have a Sony Vaio little pink laptop and use Win 7. (That description should give you some indication of my technical prowess...) I have a 2TB Seagate back up drive which I just plugged in and it worked. I went away for the weekend and disconnected the drive and when I came back and plugged it in again it says it doesn't recognise the drive. (I have rebooted several times.)
The software I use is there (Genie Timeline) but it just won't recognise the drive. I have a printer and that's okay.
What do I do? I am really v.v.techincally incompetent so please address any answer in words of one syllable. :O(
(Actually, I've just thought that this laptop is less than a year old and is still under warranty and Win 7 was already loaded...is it a Sony warranty problem???)
