C:program files(x86)

I am now unable to save any programs (trying to download the new AVG free 2012) to my c drive program files x86 and have to save anything i download directly to my desktop. there are no other users on my computer and somehow no being seen as the administrator.
please advise.

Is the account you are trying to do this with an administrator account or standard user?
