MS removal blocking safe mode boot + OTL download

Ok. I have MS Removal tool on my system (XP). I've spent a morning reading up on it and have tried the following:

Booting in Safe Mode - MSRT prevents opening in safe mode.
Downloading Malwarebytes - MSRT blocked the download.
Having a friend download it to disk - MSRT blocked the install.
Friend burned opened MAB file to disk to see if we could run it from CD drive - MSRT blocked run
Downloading OLT - MSRT blocks download.

I can access the net but cannot download anything that might be of use.

Any advice?

If you run into these infections warnings that close Rkill, a trick is to leave the warning on the screen and then run Rkill again. By not closing the warning, this typically will allow you to bypass the malware trying to protect itself so that rkill can terminate the rogue program. So, please try running Rkill until the malware is no longer running. You will then be able to proceed with the rest of the steps.

If you continue having problems running rkill.com, you can download:
iExplore.exe or eXplorer.exe
which are renamed copies of rkill.com, and try them instead.

Ok, Well MSRT is closing the download pretty much as soon it starts for all three variants.

Getting a friend to download it and see how it goes.

RKill isn't a solution, RKill is only designed to stop the malware to let us remove it.

It will come back after a reboot.
