thinkpoint virus

l have thinkpoint virus on my pc...l followed instructions which told me to CTR + ALT + DEL to get up my taskmaster...the same message appears from thinkpoint and l cannot go any further, my taskmaster wont come up, is there any other way to get taskmaster up?or to gid rid of this virus, am not great at computers so laymans terms if poss!

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

Thanks...managed to get taskmaster up have the virus in quarantine but need to remove it completely from my pc..have AVG antivirus at the moment but somehow this virus still got through, would like to purchase a good antivirus there are so many out there, could you recommend the best one??Thanks for your help :smile2:

AVG is good, it just depends on your surfing habits and what browsers you use for surfing to keep good security.
