Problem deleting desktop icons!

How do you remove a program when you try to delete a desktop icon and it says it will only remove the icon; to remove the program you have to use Add/Remove in Control Panel. Then I go to the list in Add/Remove and I don't see the program there? Would deleting it in Explorer be good enough? Thanks!

What program are you trying to uninstall?

I just tried to delete uTorrent but it said I had to remove it through Control Panel. When I open up "Programs & Features", uTorrent is not listed.

uTorrent is usually listed at the top rather then alphabetical. You can easily delete folder and not have to worry about uninstalling. Just an executable that add's shortcuts and a folder. Nothing more.
