have MSE with Avira

should I not have both running Avira and MSE essentials ? If Not which one goes and will I still have a firewall. from free Avira? system my wify XP2OOO BASIC 3 PACK IE8

Hello,

Only have on of them install on your system at a time to prevent conflict and system errors. Your choice, both are good and reputable antivirus products.

question will Avira have a firewall if I delete essentials,I know essentials does have a firewall?does

MSE does not have a firewall. It's predecessor Windows Live One Care did, but most things were removed to provide a free and basic protection. Avira does not have a firewall ether. Only the Security Suite does. If you are looking a for a free firewall, check out Comodo Firewall or Online Armor Free edition.

Comodo does. Has firewall and antivirus no charge.

Edit: Found another called FortiClient for enterprises. Standard(Free) comes with firewall, antivirus, hips, spam filtering and more.

Comodo is completely free. However, Online Armor has a free edition with reduced features. Both can be used as long as you want.Smile...
