Hi - I was just finishing playing a game and I was about to close Firefox but before I could, my computer shut down and restarted, all by itself. I code an error message:
BC Code: 10000050
BC P1: FBFF0106
BC P2: 00000000
BC P3: BF8A507D
BC P4: 00000000
OS Ver: S_12600
SP: 3_0
Product:768-1

Any idea what happened?

From what I have read, this error is caused by a device driver. The problem is whatever is using the parameter BC P3: BF8A507D. There are a lot of people who have HP printers that have these problems. (Do you have an HP printer? try that first) Try updating your drivers.

Have you did any mods or loaded new software?

Hi - I have an Epson printer - I have had it for years. I haven't added anything lately. I have a camera and a gps that I plug in occasionally, but not is a week or more, and I use the computer every day. I wasn't doing anything different at all. Also, I have been using it all day today, and no problems.

It could have been the game trying to access an area of memory a device uses. It won't hurt updating your device drivers. What type of computer is it?

Have you tried playing the game again to see if it caused the error to come back?

I play games on the AARP website, they aren't really on my computer. And yes, I played games on the site today. The computer is one that was built by a small office products company, back in 2005. I don't know much about computers but my receipt says it is a Pent IV computer with P4 MBRD ECS77 P4 775 V/A&L, P4 3.0 LGA775 P4 530J 3.0 1M 800mhz, 32x64 DDA400 256 mb PC3200 RAM, WD 80 7200 80 GB HD 7200RPM.

I did have the hard drive replaced in Jan 2008, with a western digital caviar SE WD800JB 80GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive, that a friend put in for me.

If the problem hasn't come back, it may have just been a "burp" Let's watch it for a while and see if it reoccurs.

It hasn't come back so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks!
