Macro for windows

Hi, I was wondering if there is any good macro recorder for windows and all applications run on it. I hate those recorders that work on mouse clicks; making batch files is too tedious sometimes and if some software dont allow or provide batch commands it is useless. So i need a macro recorder for windows, that records what i am doing but in scripts that can be edited and is not dependent on recording mouse movements with respect to window resolution or size etc.

I hope I am clear in what I am trying to explain.

A good macro recorder for internet explorer or Firefox is iMacros. and i like it.. i need something like that for windows.
