I have the bankerfox.a and win32/nuqel.e virus which i know are not real virus but a a trojan that wants me to buy the software. unfortunately my son had clicked on one of the popups about the virus and now the computer is loaded with porn and it will not allow me access to any virus removal site, i cannot access malware bytes which was previously loaded on the computer. I have tried to restart to get to the welcome screen and it brings up a system restore screen which i have found to be one of the same screen shots of the trojan. I am using another computer to even get to this site. CAn you advise what to do? If i am able to bet back to the c prompt what things should be deleted.

The last time something like this happened I had downloaded the malware bytes and named it something else to confuse the virus/trojan and was able to get around it that way. Unfortunately this virus seems smarter than the last one. Is there something i can burn to a cd from one computer and then load into the infected one to automatically run without it being noticed by the virus?

I have reviewed the combo fix info. I will attempt this tonight. HOwever, I was unable to access internet the other day from the infected computer and may not be able to again. If that is the case what should I do? Can I donwload the combofix to a cd from a different computer and then run it directly from the cd? If so when the report log comes up can that be saved to a cd and put back into the good computer so it can be uploaded to you?

You can transfer the download. That will work.

You can transfer back and forth, that is fine. I think, though, once you run ComboFix first, you may be able to access the Internet on the machine to be able to upload it.

But, do what works best. Smile...
