The Image restore doesn't work and I need to do a cd reinstall. I have the CD that came with it but the system won't boot to the CD ....only tries the Vista operating system on the c drive, which is corrupted?

I press f12 to get the boot menu but it will not boot off the cd/dvd drive? What am i missing?
