I downloaded OTL, ran the application and it was immediately shut down. I received a "red X" popup window that alerted "Application cannot be executed. The file otl.exe is infected. ..." I also received two similar pop-ups that say the wtl and the wmiprvse.exe is infected.
When the OTL popped up momentarily, I did see the various radio buttons that can be selected, but it was only for 1/2 a second.
01/28/2010: I was wondering there was an update to this issue. I do see that others are having a similar issue. I have also noticed that BankerfoxA is also part of this issue for me. Internet Explorer often pops up and runs terribly slow. That's not my browser I use. i use Mozilla Firefox, which runs fine and will little delay in responding. Thank you for your time.
01/29/2010: Okay this is getting worse. Computer took much longer to boot up. Mozilla, which had been working fine, is getting sluggish. And apparently this virus REALLY thinks I need Viagra badly.
01/31/2010: I tried the HiJackthis download. As soon as I downloaded it and tried to run it, it became infected. Are you still working on this problem?
02/01/2010: Late last night, I received a auto-download from Mozilla Firefox. I wasn't certain what it was, but I let it load. This morning everything was working fine, and I could get into my applications. The download was "meta" something, sorry I don't fully recall. But I got Norton updates this morning and it ran well. All my previously infected programs are accessible. You can close this ticket. Thanks anyhow.
