I can boot-up straight from the disk but the disk will not auto-run or read files when I am in Vista. I would like to upgrade so I can retain programs rather than doing a clean install. Has anyone else seen this? I went back to the store and got another copy of the program but the new disk behaves the same way.

Hello,

I wouldn't recommend performing an upgrade. From experience, it will cause lots of errors, incompatibility problems and blue screens. I suggest you do a clean install at boot up.

Back up all your documents onto an external harddrive or CD's/DVD's.

Then do a clean install, much easier and will cause less problems.

After the install just copy all your documents back - it's also a good way to declutter and get rid or stuff you don't want or need.
