Hello everyone,
This is my first time on the forum, so please be patient. I'm attempting to learn more about the workings of computers by trying to rectify my own problems.Firstly I will admit my knowledge of computer systems is extremely basic, so any help I receive will have to be written as such.
Now to my current problem. My wife's computer had problems with the Internet Security 2010 Virus recently. I went through the website , found a forum on the problem , followed the downloads and {I thought} removed the virus. The computer was functioning, E mails , browser ect. This morning when she went to start her computer, Windows XP , which had previously started automatically, produced a USER logo, at start up, and simply continues to say , "loading your personal settings, saving settings" and then stalls at the welcome screen.
I've read a few forums regarding SAFE Mode , but tried rebooting from there with no sucess.I do not have the Windows XP cd, but the programs loaded are legitimate, not copies.
Would anyone have a simple or easy to follow solution that I could attempt.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.')" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">
