Reinstall Windows. Clean Install.

hi,
i've decided to reinstall my os (XP), as im having some unsolvable issues with my computer.

i was just wondering if you could get me a step by step way to reformat and reinstall. or to perform a 'clean' install. i have all the cd's that came with the computer, the xp, the office, the utilities and drivers cd etc.

i've already backed up the personal files i need to keep. are there any windows files i need to keep?
