Acer 3652 laptop mouse pad, external mouse, keypad not working

HI,
My laptop has been working fine for 2 years. All of a sudden all the input mechanisms stopped working except for the power button. External mouse light turns on and off immediately when plugged in. Tried to remove battery and use "ctrl+esc" or whatever methods i found on the net but nothing has worked yet. Any help is appreciated. Thank-you.

Please try to unplug the power cord, mouse from your laptop, also remove the battery and leave it there for about 20 minutes. Connect everything back and try again.

nope, didn't work.... i left it unplugged without battery for a week now and still when i boot it up non of the keys respond. so i can't even reinstall windows. Anything else i could do before i bring it to a technician? Thanks.
