I've been reading many of the threads regarding this particular problem and perhaps will be referred to an earlier post, but I had a virus that rendered my Safari, IE and all other browsers (excluding Firefox which does browse but takes me to ad sites each time I click on a link) totally ineffective. Each time I click on IE or try attempt to install any other browser, I either get a blank page (IE) or a message that informs me of an internet connectivity issue. I use XP and have SP3 and a router. I installed Kaspersky which did a full scan but, the virus will not allow any software programs to update to my server--again, because it shows that I have no internet connectivity. I called Dell and they had me to do a ping which showed my router and internet working fine. I tried installing Malwarebyes but it gives an error message: 732 (12029,0) which has something to do with being unable to connect to internet. I don't know what else to do. Can you help?
