Sorry in advance if this is the wrong sub-forum for my specific problem.

How do I completely delete all cookies from Firefox? They are still showing once the browser has been closed and reopened after deletion. I visited a few less-than-desirable websites and I need to remove them before I return the laptop back to work.

open firefox then press CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE together

a window will pop-up
put the check mark for "Cookies" and click "Clear Private Data Now".

Didn't work, the cookies are still showing once Firefox has been closed and reopened.

Hello,

What version of Firefox are you using? Where are you viewing the cookies?

I'm currently running Firefox 3.5.2, and I'm viewing the cookies under show cookies on the option panel under tools.

Hello,

That is an option to let you select and remove the cookies, it does not mean that the cookies are there.

Is there any way I can remove them so they are not visible on the list?

Hello,

There's no way.
