SDHC Card

I have a SanDisk SDHC 4GB Memory Card in my camera. I can click it right into my laptop. I've never had a problem before. About a week ago I put up a post about the System Security virus. Well that got the best of my computer for sure. I had someone I know who works in IT to have a look at it. He said it was fried. So he reinstalled windows for me. Before I had windows reinstalled I had Windows XP Professional on my laptop. Now I have Windows XP Home Edition.
I don't know if that matters.. However since that, my computer has not been able to detect my memory card.

It did before reinstalling windows. So it's capable .. What do ya think?
