No Sound

My Friend's pc canoot play any audio file. Programs are loaded to play it but there is no sound coming from the speakers.

The driver is intalled and everything but still no sound.

Anything to do with codecs?

What player are you using? Is the audio jack plugged in the computer?

yea, everything is plugged in correctly. They r using Windows media player and the also tried to play music on Nero.

The computer was recently redone.

Probably missing a codec, get VLC and try again. No codec is need when using VLC.
