i downloaded a rar file from rapid share that was in 15 parts. how do i extract them all into one big file? please give step by step instructions

okay so i got that to work but when i go to play the file (its an avi file) in media player i get this error message:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

What should I do?
