Hi,
I've been working on my Dad's computer for a week now with the trojan named above (I connect to his system via CrossLoop). I have utilized malware, windows defender, mccafee software several times to remove these files successfully but they keep coming back. Today, I also downloaded the avg anti-virus tool and ran that as well. After re-starting the computer it started given me the blue screen system dump right after starting up. Right now have been able to log in in safemode only. The STOP messages are as follow: STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0X865748EC, OXF79EA970, 0X0000000) I also tried to do a system restore for an earlier time without success.

Thanks very much for any insight that you might provide.

1. If you are using Firefox, make sure that your download settings are as follows:

* Tools->Options->Main tab
* Set to "Always ask me where to Save the files".

2. During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix as follows:

trojan-keylogger.win32.agent + Blue Screen System Dump CF_download_FF

trojan-keylogger.win32.agent + Blue Screen System Dump CF_download_rename

3. It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.
4. Please do not rename Combofix to other names, but only to the one indicated.
5. Close any open browsers.
6. We need to disable your local AV (Anti-virus) before running Combofix.

  • See HERE for how to disable your AV. (Mcafee)
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe.
  • Follow the prompts. NOTE:
  • ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed.
    ***It's strongly recommended to have the Recovery Console installed before doing any malware removal.***
  • Allow combofix to run
  • Post C:\combofix.txt back here.

    Note:
    Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

I think Avira interfered, the log is far from complete.

  • Open HijackThis.
  • When Hijack This opens, click "Open the Misc Tools section"
  • Then select "Open Uninstall Manager"
  • Click on "Save List..." (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  • Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs.

    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
    McAfee SecurityCenter

We are gonna re-run Combofix, but this time, please disable Avira so it doesn't interfere.
Right click the red umberella icon in the corner > Untick "Avira guard enable".

Now re-run Combofix as normal.

I was able to remove the McAfee security Center but not the J2SE Runtime because I am working on safe mode only. Also the Avira is installed but it is not on the system tray and on the status it says it has not started. Any suggestions on how I can remove the J2SE while in safemode?
Thanks for all of your help!!!!!!!

Hello.

Now open a new notepad file.
Input this into the notepad file:

KILLALL::

Driver::
aliidee
0062671244934943mcinstcleanup
hteascfhu
qavvkbaja
wlalkzyiaqvlisy

File::
c:\windows\system32\drivers\fciffifslohna.sys
c:\windows\system32\drivers\mspmevrtvlei.sys

Registry::
[HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\GloballyOpenPorts\List]
"8085:TCP"=-

Save this as CFScript.txt, save it to your desktop also.
Then drag and drop CFScript.txt into combofix as seen below:
trojan-keylogger.win32.agent + Blue Screen System Dump Sfxdaw

This will open combofix again, agree to it's terms and allow it to run.
It may want to reboot after it's done. (It will warn you if it wants to)
Post the resulting log back here.

Please install Avira antivirus otherwise you won't be protected.

1) Antivir PersonalEditionClassic
-Free anti-virus software for Windows.
-Detects and removes more than 50,000 viruses. Free support.

It is strongly recommended that you run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory uses additional resources and can result in program conflicts and false virus alerts.

Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK:

ComboFix /u

trojan-keylogger.win32.agent + Blue Screen System Dump CF_Cleanup

This will also reset your restore points.

How is the machine running now?

Hi Belahzur / Origin:

I want to thank you guys for all of your help. My Dad's computer seems to be working fine so far. This has been quite a job being that we have done it totally remotely from my computer in Canada to his in Virginia via CrossLoop.

Thanks again and I will definetely recommend your services in the future.

Best regards,

JMB

Belahzur,

Forgot to mention, too bad for Lewis' season so far this year. I myself am a Montoya fan and I did wanted Hamilton to win after he left F1 (which he did last year)

Best of luck in 2010.

Hamilton is a crap driver, the excuses he gives are insane. The Turkey race, he said he lost grip where as other drivers gained drip in extreme heat.
Hold the phone, but is there something about that excuse that doesn't make sense?

Brawn for the win in Silverston.

Trulli and Glock haven't had a good season neither really, they've lost quite badly in a few races.
