Private Antivirus

I have this Private Antivirus that keeps popping up on my laptop that I cant get rid of. I am really not good with technical things. I read the post to get started with deleting but when I go to start downloading Java etc I don't understand or see some of the things your suggest for me to do. For instance, the 1st option listed 2 chose when downloading Java isn't what you say, I don't have a clue what my platform is, then when I selected windows the options you suggest me to chose are not avaliable. Please help.

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

• Open HijackThis
  
• Choose "Do a system scan only"
  
• Check the boxes in front of these lines:

• Close Hijack This.
  

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.

Goto Start, and open "My Computer".

Now open the C:\ drive by double clicking.
Then go into Program Files folder by double clicking it.

Find the "PAV" folder, delete it.
Find the "Fast Browser Search" folder, delete it.

Press okay to any warning that says deleting it may make some software fail to work.

Now do the same for this folder:

c:\program files\common files\Uninstall

Go back into Program Files, then go into Common Files folder, then delete the "Uninstall" folder.

Yes you could delete them I would keep HijackThis just don't use it without supervision

Yes but do this for ComboFix:

Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK:

I clicked start but I don't see run. Where can I find it?

I see you are running vista, run is integrated in the "search" feature. Click start, then on the bottom there will be a search query, that says "search" in greyish letters, type the above there.

I copied ComboFix /u in the box & it said no matches found for your search.
Then....I typed run in the box & then cut & paste ComboFix /u
