Do I have a virus?

I did a system restore. Tried to download 5 different types of anti-virus software says im missing windows service pak 2. Tried to download that and computer freezes and shuts off and restarts. Help I dont know what to do.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.

Had to start it again, was 90 min into scanning and blue screen appeared and my computer shut off and restarted by its self. I dont have ANY anti-virus because it wont let me download it with out windows service pak 2. Everytime I scan it with something ex: Adaware Bot. My computer shuts down. I tried running it in Safe mode and running the Adaware but it went to blue screen and shut down. I started it again. if I can get it to complete i will post log. If this doesnt work any other suggestions besides beating it with a bat

AdwareBot is considered a rogue program that uses false positives to gaod you into buying it and you get nothing in return.

Aslong as you didn't fall for the false alerts, then it's harmless. Using false alerts is all it does.

We need to make a new restore point.

To turn off System Restore, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Click the Turn off System Restore check box (or the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box), and then click OK.
4. Click Yes when you receive the prompt to the turn off System Restore.

Now we need to make a new restore point.
To turn on System Restore, follow these steps:

Below I have included a number of recommendations for how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections.
