tv tuner card playback sound choppy

installed and got tv tuner card working great, except for some grainy issues. The recording is so easy, but the sound on play back is soppy in that it sounds like its sped up and then stops on then off every second. xphome 5.6 dualcore, onboard sound card, dual monitors, 4 gig ram.

please help with any ideas
