descriptionIs my computer safe? EmptyIs my computer safe?

I had that win32.zafi.b problem appear, but it didn't install anything to my knowledge. I restarted my computer because I was going to run it in safe mode and follow some removal steps I read using smitfraud, but everytime I run IE nothing wrong happens (before, it would go into some protection screen saying something about there being a security threat). Just wanted to make sure if perhaps my norton did something when I was scanning prior, because I know it did stop an IEDefender (but win32.zafi.b is the perfect defender right?).

I bolded something I thought was a little weird for a file name. Not sure what it is of course.

Thanks for the help

EDIT: NVM I did a quick read about it (RtHDVCpl.exe).

Well, when I opened my IE Explorer at one point it popped up saying "Insecure Browsing: Navigation on Hold" and later I would receive some message about the win32.zafi.b worm (perfect defender). I don't recall my Norton removing a file with that name, or detecting it (when I scanned), and all I did was pretty much scan + restart my computer and the win32.zafi.b message was gone (though Norton didn't show that it deleted something like that).

The only thing my Norton shows that it deleted (in it's history) on a level higher than low was "IE Defender" (medium). Unless Norton uses a different name for the Perfect Defender, I don't know how the worm could be removed. I didn't even use the smitfraudfix in safe mode method that I read about, which was going to be my next option until I noticed my browser didn't pop that screen up again.

Ah.
It probably did delete it, but if the fake sign is gone, I'm gonna leave it for now, because there's nothing to "fix" right now.
