Agreed!

I have already posted the HJT log. after a complete scan Norton and MBAM
came clean! system seems to be OK but i still need u to look into the HJT log and tell me if
there are signs of infection. It all started when i plugged in a flash drive which was not
disinfected by "flash disinfector" (my bad Sad tearing ) however since my hard drive and other USB
drives were disinfected; I dont know if the malware/virus was able to infect them. Once again to tell you Nortan and MBAM came clean. I got rid of the infected USB drive.

Thanks for everthing in advance! I see u r really catching up with DOC in terms of Posts (Gunsmoke)

Hello.
Yep, your reply was posted during the night for me, so I wasn't here. LMBO or ROFL

If you've run flash_disinfector on all your external drives, then they should be clean, but note that F_D needs to be run when ALL your external drives are plugged in, leaving one infected will cause the problem to return.

Hello.
The log is clean.
But if you feel your still infected, lets have a look around.

  • Download combofix from here, use the top links - combofix.exe
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe.
  • Follow the prompts. NOTE:
  • ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed.
***It's strongly recommended to have the Recovery Console installed before doing any malware removal.***

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will automatically proceed with its scan.

  • The Recovery Console provides a recovery/repair mode should a problem occur during a Combofix run.

    Re: Backdoor.tidserv!inf Rcauto10

  • Allow ComboFix to download the Recovery Console.
  • Accept the End-User License Agreement.
  • The Recovery Console will be installed.
  • You will this next prompt that asks if you want to continue the malware scan, select yes

    Re: Backdoor.tidserv!inf Whatne10

  • Allow combofix to run
  • Post C:\combofix.txt back here.

    Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Thanks much appriciated! I had downloaded comodo firewall as DOC suggested, but when I started installing it
the setup said that I have a firewall installed! i think thats norton, becoz i am only using norton antivirus!
maybe the fire wall is included in it. I am not sure and could you suggest me method to find out if I have a firewall
installed?
