How to Open Multiple Apps Side by Side
The easiest way to place two app windows side by side was introduce in Windows 7 and has been retained in Windows 8 and later versions Windows. Apps can be simply place side by side by dragging a window to one side of the screen, and another to the opposite side.
Windows can also be set to occupy half of the screen by using the key, with either the Left or Right cursor key. To tile two windows together, select one and press + Left, then select another and press + Right keys.
It is possible to arrange windows horizontally across the screen, although it's not quite so easy. First, minimize all but two Windows you wish to tile. Next, right-click on the taskbar and select "Show windows stacked".
To arrange windows in a grid-like pattern, make sure all windows you wish to see are not minimized (and minimize the ones you don't want to include). Then, right-click the taskbar and select "Show windows side by side".
